I think that they can be a little bit more
prudent in the handling process though.

I noticed that they referred to a coin as a bullion coin, and it looked like a DMPL one at that, but it has a P mint mark, so it is really an uncirculated coin before vapor sandblasting. They also said they were using a double strike at 430 tons (60 tons per square inch) which is a proof strike, which makes sense for the -P coins. They really satin finish proofs. This video was done during production of the 2010 coins and things may have changed but there is nothing about the coins to indicate that any production changes have occurred.

I'm surprised they slide the coins on the plastic like that. You'd think it would put some tiny marks on the reverse. I guess the rims are high enough above the design to not cause any problems?

I wonder how much of a visual difference in a coin that is struck once as opposed to struck twice?
