The following is a press release from the Perth Mint
The Perth Mint is pleased to announce the first annual release of a High Relief Australian Kookaburra coin.
The coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
For outstanding impact, the coin is made with an extra-deep blank to accommodate its superbly detailed high relief depiction of a kookaburra perched on a tree branch with gum leaves.
Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
No more than 10,000 of these coins will be issued worldwide.
Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, each coin is housed in a display case and beautifully illustrated shipper.
