Hi PP I have added a few pics of the mini money sets designs. They are 11.14mm that's as in 1cm + in size, You can see in the background of the promotional pics there are the cute itty-bitty planchets. I would have loved to have seen the 50 planchet.... he he, would love to sneak some of them home with me.

The pics don't excite me but I have to have the set just for the little MOR $1. (They look like alum bronze one dollar blanks..anyone agree?)

Yeah you're probably right, When I saw the video clip I was like dude they wouldn't have heaps of gold coins clanging against each other in a hoper, because there supposed to be proof coins right, so no scratches or marks on them. I can't believe they didn't bother to do a graphic of a 10c in the video, unless it was in a 1 second frame and I missed it. Anyway you can find it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/australianmint/videos

Price $590 Oh and for anyone who has noticed the 50c is round on Downies site picture not hex as first advertised on the RAM video.

Yes also considering on the RAM pre-order sheet they were supposed to be $550

So do all the pre-order people who took the "Collection by Selection" thing late last year pay the $550 price or the new $590?

I would think the $550 price as they know that they were getting a sale and in the fine print somewhere they did guarantee price with pre payment.
I would say Downies have made a mistake with pricing as they say "Sensational value-for-money at the RAM's Official Issue Price!" and its not.
Gold price.org calculator says 4g is $213.99 Is that about right.

I also note that the PP pics above have a dodecahedron 50c yet the Downies catalogue I received in the mail last night had a round one...? and the picture in the RAM online shop is (like usual) very poor...

They usually have the coin specs in the listing but they don't for this set (on the RAM site). I rang and ordered a set today, I should have asked.
edit: oh there it is, it's a round 50c. "coin set features the 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, round 50c, $1 and $2 coins all the same size"
