So do all the pre-order people who took the "Collection by Selection" thing late last year pay the $550 price or the new $590?

I would think the $550 price as they know that they were getting a sale and in the fine print somewhere they did guarantee price with pre payment.
I would say Downies have made a mistake with pricing as they say "Sensational value-for-money at the RAM's Official Issue Price!" and its not.
Gold price.org calculator says 4g is $213.99 Is that about right.

Do I want the 50c? yes....

I also note that the PP pics above have a dodecahedron 50c yet the Downies catalogue I received in the mail last night had a round one...? and the picture in the RAM online shop is (like usual) very poor...

They usually have the coin specs in the listing but they don't for this set (on the RAM site). I rang and ordered a set today, I should have asked.
edit: oh there it is, it's a round 50c. "coin set features the 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, round 50c, $1 and $2 coins all the same size"

The RAM says they have shipped it already. I don't think I'll be splitting the set...but I wonder how that dollar would look in a slab? Markn has some tiny maundy coins in slabs and they look very teeny tiny. For a laugh I've just had graded a 1991 mor $1 from the masterpieces in silver set, came in at an PR69DC!!

The masterpieces in silver from RAM are extremely well made, along with the coins from the Perth Mint They both produce some fantastic proof coins

Sorry Kel, I hadn't read your post here. Contact Eric at Drakesterling http://www.drakesterling.com about getting your mules slabbed. This is for Stevo-50c man. Here is the 50c from the mini money set. I used the dino digital microscope to get a pic and it's still awful. I'm sure you'll appreciate it though.

My other comment about this set is that the coins rattle around in the capsules and my 2c has a mark/scuff in the fields which I am not happy about. I'm considering returning it -am I too fussy? $590 for the set, I had some high expectations.
