Hello all, just joined this site because of some coins that were handed down to me, and of course because my research indicated THIS forum had the most knowledgeable and intelligent participants. Now that you're all eager to help me, here's what I've got. I've heard a lot about fakes, but as far as I know, these were my mom's since the 70's at least. There is a coin/stamp shop nearby, but they tried to swindle me out of stamps once, so I don't want to deal with them. Can anyone tell me anything based on these photos? Thanks ahead of time!

What you have so far as I can tell are two California gold tokens. As opposed to California Gold Fractional Coins. From my experience they would be older, fifty to even eighty years old and are possibly made of gold unlike many later California fantasy tokens which are made of gold plated brass.

I do not have these in my collection of fake or fantasy California tokens.

Below is a similar coin in my collection of fantasy California gold "coins". My token is not gold. The last image still does not accurately show the nice gold color of my token.
