macmercury - many thanks for your kind word. I think crazy luck has to do with what I have. All of these were from eBay and while some would want to bash it, I have been very lucky to obtain some of the toughest coins you can possibly imagine. The only other Chinese coin that I rate it to be the toughest is the Kweichow antimony coin. I took many years to look for it and got very very lucky. Saw similar coins sold at auction houses and boy, did they cost a hefty four figure each... What also helped is having some cash lying around - I sure don't have millions but having some do help. When it becomes tight, I can always sell some of the lower grade coins or duplicates. That said, I should be doing it a bit more often.
Peter - these were only struck around 1933. These should be obtainable for around 200 dollars which I think are somewhat underrated, considering how difficult they are to locate in the first place.
