1958P Jefferson is harder to find than you think. For some reason people hoarded this coin, the reason I dont know.
It has the fourth lowest mintage in the 50's (behind 50, 50D, 51S) and 14th lowest overall (not including proof issues).

Back in 1981, a local coin dealer was selling rolls of the 1958-P saying that they were going to be "hot" one day. A friend of mine bought a roll and sold some of them to me. I eventually traded most of them. Other than the one in my Jefferson album, I still have several of them in my miscellaneous 2x2 album.

I wonder how many of these are still sitting in rolls like this, waiting to be found?

Over the weekend I went to my local bank and picked up $50 of pennies. If I am lucky I will usually find 2-3 wheaties and ended up with 14. But the one that shocked me more was on my very last roll the last coin was stuck and I had to rip it out of the roll to find a 1980 Decimal Coinage New Penny. I had no idea what it was since I do not collect foreign coins and found more info here: http://sammler.com/coins/penny_elizabeth_ii.htm it is in VF+ condition and may be the start of me looking into foreign coins.

Over the past few months, my mom found a 1952, 1963D (damaged), and 1964D dimes.

My dad found a 1964D quarter two months ago while helping count some quarters from several vending machines.
