lincolncollector Valued Member United States 373 Posts	Posted 09/19/2008 9:43 pm I find more old Jefferson nickels than any other coin. Jefferson nickels from the 40's thru 60's, especially the 1964. Rarely, do I find a wheatie. The oldest quarters I see are from the 60's. I don't bother with dimes because they are just too small to read. I never find halves. Report this Post to the Staff

Bought 2 boxes last weekend 1 box contained 1 IHC 10 wheats and 6 canadians the other 2 wheats 3 canadian. Never more than one in a roll so probably not someone getting rid of collection why aren't they more evenly spread out? Since it is random I would think they would be but I'm not going to argue with those results. Report this Post to the Staff

But the other day a fellow employee had a roll of nickels bound up in masking tape. I immediately thought "senior citizen getting rid of old change" so I bought the roll from her. All the nickels were fairly new actually, except one no date buffalo. So I do consider that my first wild buffalo. Report this Post to the Staff

dustin43160 Valued Member United States 367 Posts	Posted 09/27/2008 06:26 am yesterday at work I put a 20$ bill in the change machine and it gave me my change and I put it in my back pocket for investigating later well long and behold I found a 2001s sac dollor! They carry little devices known as "coin changers" that carry easily dispensible quarters/dimes/nickels/cents in metal tubes. The tubes have slots on the side to view the coins. We have about seven changers. I was looking at the reeds of the quarters and dimes to see if I can find any silver. 1953 roosie 1964 roosie 1964 quarter An amazing circulation silver find.
