I am not sure why the coinstar would reject a Panama coin. The coins are basically same as the US coins, but with different designs. Same type clad coinage and mass. I guess it was the same reason a clad dime that I found last night was also rejected.. it looks fine to me, even the water vending machine took it.

Something I'd call 'somewhat rare'....

A 1964 Canadian quarter in a roll of shrink-wrapped quarters. Nickel and plated steel quarters, I can see getting in rolls, but a silver Canadian quarter? That's a first!

I have a few good finds from circulation:
1. I bought 20 rolls of nickels and half of each roll contained Buffalo nickels
2. Also have found many silver half dollars from circulation
3. My mom found a roll of silver quarters recently and gave it to me!
4. Not as good, but I found a roll of Wheaties in circulation once.

Well, I have successfully read through this entire thread

I am inspired by all the stories here about pocket change coins! I'm never not looking at my change again!

I also have a find: a while ago, my sister found a 1928 Canadian nickel in decent condition; I traded her a quarter for it and was happy

Other than that, I haven't found much interesting from change... yet!

In a customer's pocketful of change, there were two nickels of notice:

1939-S (first one ever from circulation) and the best looking 1955-P I've come across.

Just got back from Reno. My fiance was playing nickel slots and started looking through the nickels. She called me over and asked if this was a rotated reverse. Sure was. It was a nice find.

This is probably the nicest of this decade that I have ever found in circulation/ on the ground.

A find like that might actually get me to risk going to the mall. Very nice!
Rest in Peace

1909 (Philly, non-VDB) Cent, F-15, received in change from a grocery store, Sunday Dec. 13th 2008.

My new 'record holder' for oldest Cent received in change (previous was a 1910, G), and will probably stay that way since I don't really think I'll ever get an Indian Head cent in my change.....

Nice find!
I like it! I've never found silver in pocket change. I did find a 1951 dime in my banks counting machine reject tray.
