Interesting Find From Circulation

I gave that particular Log Cabin Cent (the third one I found)
to a co-worker who hasn't found one in circulation yet.

I was putting a new digital TV in the breakroom, and an employee
was in the breakroom going through mixed circulated Cent rolls
from Wells Fargo, trying (in vain ) to find a Log Cabin Cent!
(Shouldn't that be me digging through Cent rolls instead ?!? )

At the rate it's going, I could probably set up office raffles
for any Log Cabin Cents that I can find....
"Hey, thanks for our new TV, sir, but what we really want are some of those new Log Cabin Cents!"

Three of Denver's channels just went "digital-only" on April 16th (the rest will follow on June 12th), so in the interest of a harmonious workplace environment, yours truly bought in a new TV, and I was busy scanning the channels and programming the thing while someone's in a chair opposite from me roll-searching Cents.

I've never roll-searched in the breakroom, I do that at home!

To a non-collector, you might look like "Mr. Scrooge" when digging through a pile of Cents!

One employee asked me why we couldn't just get rolls of Log Cabin Cents at Wells Fargo. I told her all about the situation, and that the few '09-D's that are dribbling out of the Fed are obviously mixed in with 2008 BU Cents and older coins, because whenever any of us gets a Log Cabin Cent in our change, we only get one at a time.

I didn't specifically recommend that the other employee search a box of mixed Cents from Wells Fargo, because the businesses where we have found the Log Cabin Cents get deliveries from the armored car companies (who, in turn, get coins from the Fed's Denver branch).
Some nearby restaurants who get coins from Wells Fargo have yet to give any of us a 2009 Cent in change...

Not exactly a millionaire, but just $20 more. It's a recent series, not particularly low serial (especially for a star note) and of course, condition counts.

Went to McDonald's a couple days ago and I saw a silver quarter in my change. I went off to the side to organize myself, took a quick glance at the quarter and saw it was a 1952 with a mm and put it in my little watch pocket thing there in my jeans. Quick thinking but not to be a hog about it, I got my food and asked if I could get a couple bucks worth of quarters next time she has the drawer opened.
She said sure but then the cashier on the register to her left overheard us and promptly counted up 8 clads and gave those to me for my 2 bucks.
The economy must have some poor people out there scrounging for enough to buy a happy meal, even if it is coming out of old Whitman books I guess.
I thought the quarter bin probably had more but the next guy got lucky. I hope!

When I got home a closer inspection showed a 1952 S in about VF or better. A tougher date and a little better than a common circulated silver quarter.

Got two P mint Puerto Rico quarters from the deli. The drawer was real shiny when she opened it.

Oh, and Log Cabins have hit Long Island.

Finally I got some DC quarters!
