I picked up about $85 in penny and nickel rolls today. I found my first buffalo! 1936 in probably EF condition. Full very readable date! I also got several 40s and 50s nickels. On the cent front, my first log cabin cents from circulation (only 2 out of a roll). This is the first I've seen of them in my area (NJ). Anyone else in Jersey had any luck finding them?

I found an 1890 IHC in a bank roll a feww days ago. And for some reason I've been finding more canadian cents these days- anywhere between 1926-to date. |

At work, I got an amazing 1973-S cent in my register today. Absolutely flawless, one of the best-looking pennies I've ever seen.

nice proof find meckl9! 1980 only had one S mint mark type which is the same as the 1979 T-II and 1981 T-1. I received my first Formative Years cents this weekend, 5 Phillys from a gas station in Illinois and another Philly the next day in St Louis. I have still only found one D and one P for the Log Cabins  |

I am having a great year for circulation finds. Usually I find a Wheat cent or the occasional foreign coin sitting in the rejection bin of the Coin Star machine. About 2 months ago I found my first Mercury dime while walking on my campus. Today I received my first Mercury dime in change. The look on the cashier's face was priceless when he realized what he gave me. |

I picked up two rolls of quarters from my credit union to use as change during my garage sale this weekend. I was hoping to find a few late-date "P" quarters for my state collection, but found only one - WV. However, in the second roll I did find a "worthless" but interesting coin - an Italian 200-lire coin, 1979, unfortunately pretty well-worn and a bit of a weak strike anyway, as are many Italian and French coins.

Yesterday I finally got a Puerto Rico-D Quarter in my change. A perfect coincidence, because yesterday I got my first Guam-D Quarters from the Denver Mint.  (and I even spent two of those Quarters yesterday!) I had the Puerto Rico-D Quarters from the Mint for three weeks before I got a DC Quarter in change. A perfect illustration of how long it takes coins to get through the 'system'. |

2009 Sacagawea.
Probably was my own, at one time. I bought 250 of them from the mint at face value, and spent them all. I live in a small town of about 7,000 people, so possibly it was one that I had spent earlier.
