Oh, wouldn't that be something? To find a Mercury dime or a SLQ in change... I have found a buffalo before, though.

Got a 69S high grade US "cent" yesterday in change. At a glance I thought it was a 2000-2007 vintage and was quite surprised to see that it was a 69S...haven't checked it closer for a DDR yet...hmmmm
Rest in Peace

I struck gold!! I was going through some old photo albums and found this 14 k Gold piece. It's miniature Eisenhower Silver dollar.. I got it for Christmas in 1984. The size is 9mm, weighing 3.360 grains, and contains 1.965 grains of pure gold. I forgot I had this. Not much but interesting.

Found a VERY NICE uncirculated Jefferson nickel in pocket change yesterday. It's 1940-D. I think it might even be a full step! I'm going to try to post a picture up soon.

Photos as promised. What do you guys think of it? The thing that sucks, was that it was in a bag of loose pocket change that was collected over a while that included nails, screws, etc. But I think it held up pretty well. Might try cleaning in water first, to see if I can get the gunk off. If that doesn't work, maybe acetone? Before I try any of that, I have to practice, don't want to mess it up.
