I've had this bill for years in my wallet and I kind of forgot about it until just now. The color was much darker when I first found it in circulation. The reverse looks the same. Did someone dye this thing?

Looks charred...

Or it could be coffee or tea. Back in grade school, we made paper "old" by soaking it in coffee, and the paper product looked like that.
