Until recently, NCS also slabbed them and now with PCGS and NGC slabbing problem coins, I assume they will slab them as GENUINE or DETAILS. Report this Post to the Staff

jdheyne Pillar of the Community United States 772 Posts	Posted 10/11/2009 10:19 pm The 1918/7-D would be the only one you would want to restore. The 1916 DDO and 1917-D 3-Legged are easily seen without the date and putting acid on the date, whether it is to enhance or totally restore the date would make the coin less valuable. So if you do spot one of those two without the date, send it in without using acid, and the value will be considerably more. Report this Post to the Staff
