So I just bought my firs coin a $1 1849 Liberty. I also purchased most of my supplies. I spent most of last night sorting through all of my coins and putting them into the correct holes. I had enough junk coins to sell to my husband for $15 and will sell him more as he gets more cash to trade.

My Husband is a recycle nut and the shop where he goes gives him $2 bills and he gives those to me. All of my other money comes from throwing my change into the bottom of my purse until it gets so heavy I have to dump it all out and throw into my change jar.

Had enough money to buy all of my supplies plus my coin and still have money left over. I feel like I'm off to a lucky start.

Welcome!

If you are collecting things that the Mint is selling I would get them from the Mint, too many times has the Mint sold out and then you have to pay a premium to buy it from somewhere else.

That's what my wife does. To the forum. By you forum name I assume that you were in the Navy. If so how long did you serve?

And chocolate coins. If I ever get past that one problem, I'll collect them, too.

I am retired from the Navy after 20 years. I served all over the Western Pacific. Thanks for asking. Some people don't get it but it's: ty (my initials), retired, wave.

Send them to PAINT. Smaller than 90 is easy. Then just go to your post here and click on the little camera.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMMMMMMMM.
Sure wish we had a WELCOME sign.
One suggestion. Instead of keeping all your change in a purse or anywhere until to heavy, put into a place at home where they will not get scratched from each other. For about 99% of most coins you find in change, doesn't really matter. HOWEVER, if you get home and dump all that change in drawer and find a 1914D Lincoln Cent that is now all scratched up from being on the bottom of your purse, you'll really get a little on the irritated side.

You have to actually hit the "reply to topic" link first. Dont use the quick reply box. Then you should be able to see the camera.
