My next door neighbor purchased a lot of pennies that included this 1922 no D. I'm having it checked out by an expert today, but I wanted to get some other opinions first.

It seems to almost fit the dye #2 description but it's hard to tell. Luckily he has a microscope with a camera attachments so the pictures are very detailed.

Sorry to say but your coin is either a counterfiet or an altered date, the digits are completely wrong for a genuine example. If that coin were genuine, it would be one of the finest examples known for a coin that is very rare in uncirculated condition.

That year has a very weak strike, and that is too good, plus the date looks off.

Yeah, I saw that the date looks off and thats' why I wanted to bring it to someone to confirm. It would have been a very nice speciman for this particular coin.

It's definately a forgery. I've seen this fake before, it's a common (and poor) one.
