All of the books and the web-based info that I have reviewed indicate that a 1942, one cent coin from Netherlands should have a cross-type configuration on the reverse: not a lion etc.
Is this coin possibly an error?
Please ID this coin also stating the grade, value, and error worthiness.
Yeah...that's very interesting, since 1942 should be occupation coinage--as you say. Norway had a series of coins struck in 1942 to represent Haakon VII's government in exile. I'm not sure if this is an error or struck outside the Netherlands--perhaps somebody here knows?
