Bought both from an inherited collection this last summer. I received the 25 cent with the gouge and suspected the other would fit. the other piece was lost until just recently by the seller. The collector passed away 23 years ago, and I suspect he bought these in 1960's or 70's. He had a few coins which were advertised in some of Hans Zoell's auctions.

The 1947 cent looks as though it is a fake double strike.

Triple strike. Twice with 1 cent dies and once with 5 cent dies. Five cent struck first. That 11 cent coin gives me a headache.

Randy, I can feel your pain all the way to Vanisle ....
but why a headache?
you have some which makes eyes pop out by the buckets...

Just looked at that new SW Brian recommended... and your posted image....
Is that ONE coin triple struck? or is that one made with the SW?
