What would cause the denticles to be completed worn off all the way around this coin, reverse is not like this. It does not have enough wear on other surfaces to warrant this

Yup, I am inclined to agree that the first coin shown is a bogus coin, the second coin doesnt look too bad, I would ask myself if both coins were obtained from the same source.
Then I would weigh it just to be doubly sure..

Weight of the fakes is bang on, but silver content is different.
