Or should I jump on it.. As for the doubling, I don't know for sure... there are 2 die cracks though.. perhaps I should hold on to it myself btw checker, what you mean by: "The the wood grain cents" Is it more common in these types? The wood grain effect is created by an improper alloy mixture and some like the appearance just like some like toned silver. I would have called the coin EF, but pics of darker coppers are sometimes difficult to grade. While the price you were going to sell at is fair, I would easily double that for such a cent if it were here Report this Post to the Staff

This means the obverse lacks details in the cheek and hair - look at some mint-state 5c coins to best illustrate this. All other elements on the coin pictured, such as original lustre, rims, high points on the reverse, are strong. Grade your coin AU-50.
