After a loooong half dollar silver drought, 6 40%ers and a Franklin from 8 CWR that had just landed at a favorite local branch. Like 5 minutes before we got there. And a bonus 64 P dime that likewise ended a silver dime dry spell.  |

I ended up with eleven original LOOMIS rolls of what appear to be all uncirculated 2023-D halves today. Do any of you all go through stuff like this looking for errors or super-high grade specimens? Maybe I'll just spend them. I don't have a dump bank. I spent one roll already.

Ynnad,.. I got $900 worth at the bank the other day.
MOST of mine are 2023 also. Most all are "P" mint marks.
I am looking for errors, but so far not much luck. I did pull out some older coins,.. many from the 70's.
Haven't looked at them yet. When I go through $500 of my 1/2 dollars I'm going to trade them in for One Dollar coins.

With the spot price of silver close to $50 per ounce, it is nice to find two ounces of silver during an afternoon of CRH. I found four Kennedy half dollars that contain 40% silver searching the loose coins and customer-wrapped rolls that I acquired from tellers at three banks. Then I drove to my favor-"right" bank to purchase the three boxes of bank-rolled half dollars the manager orders every week for me. Two boxes contained nothing interesting. But I found 10 more silver coins in the third box (which had two silver "enders").  |
