I did a few searches and haven't found a thread for people to list their quarter roll-searching finds. I know it's not nearly as popular as any other denomination (save dollar coin rolls), but I'm sure there are some people out there who search quarters. Actually, the real reason I'm starting this thread is because I found two silver quarters, and I want to show them off! Both were in the same roll. They are 1961-D and 1964. I only buy 5 or so rolls at a time, and this is the first time I've ever found silver quarters. I mostly look for quarters for my folders. I only need the '69-D to finish my clad quarter folders, plus a lot of the '09s and '10s, of course. 1961 D obv 1961 D rev 1964 obv 1964 rev

Nice find! There are a few quarter threads, but mostly filled with people saying quarters aren't worth it. Maybe you'll start a trend?

Thanks, RollHunter!
Yes, I don't want to hear people saying it isn't worth it even though it may not be. "Finds" don't necessarily have to be silver.

I've only found one Silver......but you're right about "other" finds. I found all the Qtrs. needed to make a date set and a P&D set of the State Qtrs.......most are now BU thanks to "searching". Since so many folks just turned all of theirs in eventually, after saving them for a time......it makes for a LOT of BU's out there to find ! .... And why not make folders with them ? ..... (Older Qtrs. for me, come from the Coin Shop and/or broken out of old O.G.P.'s)

Nice job.
CRH'ing is a fun hobby. I used to search halves mostly, some quarters and dimes. The halves produced best because they just don't circulate like quarters and dimes do. I have also tried searching boxes of pennies for the Wheats and copper.
Keep up the good work.

That's pretty slick, dude. Over 8$ in silver off one roll hunt. Nice.

8$? Is silver that high already? Since so many folks just turned all of theirs in eventually, after saving them for a time......it makes for a LOT of BU's out there to find !Seriously! My grandma collected all the State Quarters to give to my brother, along with one of those maps of the US that has a hole for each quarter. My grandma couldn't get the quarters into the holes, so she gave my brother the State Quarters in a plastic baggie along with the empty map. My brother put the quarters in his trunk and forgot about them, and eventually used all of them to pay for toll charges.

I support this thread and will post on it as I'm about to get into quarter searching. I would guess that you use CWRs? I also have a couple 09 extras I think all P's and BU Hot Springs quarters as well P straight from the mint. If you want I could do you a favor and get some out in the mail for you?

yeah andrew I'm also sort of picking it up, and I think the obvious best choice is goiing to be CWR. unless you can get the brinks clear wrap and can afford like 10 boxes at once.
