1997 Guernsey silver proof £5 coin showing Leeds Castle in Kent: There is a tenuous connection between Guernsey and Leeds Castle - the first stone castle was built here by William the Conqueror on the site of a Saxon fortress, and Guernsey was part of the Duchy of Normandy and was therefore united to the English crown under William the Conqueror. But I only bought this coin as it has a local connection - Leeds Castle is only a few miles from where I live, and is one of my favorite stately homes:

The annual silver 10-euro coins issued by the French Mint often show distinctive features associated with particular regions of France. In 2011 the theme was famous places - this 10-euro coin from the Midi-Pyrenees shows the Capitole Building in Toulouse, the vault of Albi Cathedral and the dramatic modern Millau viaduct, completed in 2004:

nice modern examples, Dorado and NumisRob ! I have just one other city hall token: this one is from 1836, issued by the French town of La Rochelle The OBV of this small medal (about 10 gram of silver) shows a front view of the renaissance façade ("La Grande Galerie) of the city hall, which was constructed between 1595 and 1605. The stair hall of honors (Escalier d'honneur) on the left is in its original version, today we can see a modified version, a smaller structure, erected in 1877 (see second photo below). The REV is a bit boring especially for this thread

Nice design on that dollar... Two Parisian places on this 1994 French 100 francs - Notre-Dame Cathedral on one side and the Arc de Triomphe on the other. Struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Paris:
