Thanks, So far being as picky as I can, seems to be working. But when I go for the large cents, that may change. Finding very nice specimens at reasonable prices seem to be at odds with each other.

I believe being picky with a type set (and in general) is best. You will have an album of coins to be proud of, even if it takes years to find coins that fit your budget.
