@NumisRob: I enjoy having the Statue of Liberty coins you presented in my collection. Even though I already had each individual coin in my collection, when I came across the set that follows while wandering around a coin show, I decided to bring it home with me. The set makes it easy to bring out the coins as show-and-tell pieces!

Coin: 2005 US Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Silver Dollar

The flag raising by US troops on Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima during World War II was the design inspiration for the obverse of the 2005 US Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Silver Dollar, as well as the Marine Corps War Memorial dedicated in Arlington, VA by President Dwight David Eisenhower on November 10, 1954. The Memorial statue was created by artist-sculptor Felix W. de Weldon.
