Quote: I ordered an extra blank cents page today, so that way I can eventually get into some proofs... I already have this 7100 album, so it's not a very wise move to purchase an entire new album just for this IMO. I did the same for my 7113 Jefferson nickel and 7125 Roosevelt dime albums. Added pages for proofs and that worked out for me just fine.

Yep! I agree. Also, honestly, I feel like depending on the series, I may not always like the proofs together with the business strikes. I did this with my Jefferson 7113/8113 mainly because I had both albums, and figured why not, since swapping the proof/business strikes over to the 8113 allowed me to sort of start another collection with my 7113, which I have been doing very slowly. Mainly when I nickel roll hunt. I was thinking a lot of the time, some of the more copper colored proof cents might not match up as well as I want them to with my business strike cents, so it might be good for me to keep them separate. This really wasn't a big deal IMO for coins like Jeffersons or my SBA dollars that are more silver in color honestly.

True! If I were able to find one on ebay for reasonably cheap, I might take the plunge. But until then, this is the way it'll go. I've been looking at prices on F-VF example earlier wheat cents, particularly S mint mark coins, and they aren't too bad on ebay. However, I would much rather buy one in person at these prices. There might be a coin show this weekend in my neck of the woods, I'm not sure. I'll have to take a look. I like coin stores and all, but honestly, there aren't really many of them around here. And the few that are around.. They either carry a LOT of stuff, or barely anything at all.

I will be! There has been like a 5-day long show in the city I live in at some hotel or something like that. I will be visiting tomorrow! Not sure what to expect, but should be interesting.

Thanks! ugh. actually, I was quite mistaken. It was some sort of road show where they estimate the value on things and purchase things, including gold, silver and coins. I was pretty bummed. That said, I got a blank page recently for my proofs. I was so bummed I went out and bought three "Gem proofs," 2000, 2001 and 2002. I purchased these just to get an idea of what they would look like, and I think they are beautiful coins.

Thanks, Dearborn! I am considering adding another album eventually for the Lincoln Shield cents, because I figured why not. I would do the proofs as well, but this time, if I go forward and purchase an album, I'll buy the album that actually has dedicated spots for the proofs. That said, the only bummer in terms of collecting is the fact that the Lincoln cents are effectively being phased out obviously. I would assume, like other coin series however, that they would still be available for collector's from the US mint to some degree like other coins that they no longer produce for circulation, but still make such as the Kennedy half dollar, Native American dollar, etc?

Thank you, friends! jbuck, I am trying to find just an overall proof set containing all proofs, or most of them, at least the Memorial cents. There seem to be lots/sets on ebay. Just haven't found the right one yet. I kind of wish I would have bought the 8100 from the get go. Ah well. And yes, the "coin show" was quite the disappointment! But, I digress. Hopefully I can catch one sometime in the next few weeks.
