Yeah, if it's not in my album, I don't consider it part of my collection personally. I am perfectly happy collecting P, D and S business strike mint marks.

In the 2015 "March of Dimes Special Silver Set" one finds two noteworthy Roosevelt dimes: Reported mintage is 74,430 for these proof dimes: The MOD set in OGP lists in the RB for $70. PF69 examples of those dimes are around $50 each. I'm tempted to get them graded.

In the large scheme of things I do not think Roosevelt dimes are underrated but, rather, overlooked for meagre reasons. Roosevelt dimes are great way to start off a coin collection or an area to pursue if your money is tight. There are only a small handful of Roosevelt dimes that are inaccessible to most (the 1975 no S proof I believe is the most famous). I do think Roosevelt dime design has overstayed its welcome (but that is true of the cent which looks to be discontinued) and is due for a design overhaul. Such an action would then give Roosevelt dimes of today back to their inception a boost in popularity since "absence makes the heart grow fonder".

Roosies have one big thing up on all other coins: they can be assembled in Gem condition on a shoestring. Most all the coins including the silvers are common in MS-65. Nice well struck specimens in Gem make a spectacular set. There are only a few coins that are difficult and these can always be collected in MS-64. Memorial pennies are the second most common in Gem but has more challenges. Other modern denominations can be very challenging in well made Gem.

Great topic! I have been trying to complete a set of them. The copper/nickel coins can be found cheaply in mint sets. The silver coins are a little harder to find in uncirculated condition. Each dealer at coin shows may have a few. When I ask about them, it seems they threw them into their travelling display as an afterthought. "I think I have a few with me", is a standard reply. The good thing about that is that they usually have not updated the price on the coin for a while.

Looks like an awesome set. Beerandchips, yes. Most Roosevelt dimes, even BU, are pretty cheap. Found these today in the cash drawer at work. Yippie! I do quite like this series. It looks a lot nicer than I anticipated. Sometimes, coins look different as a whole when you get them all together and you can appreciate them a bit more.

A set where the P & D were easy to collect from circulation until 2022 here in central Minnesota. No 22s, no24s and no 2025s yet. Going on a vacation to KC, will hit some gas stations and maybe get lucky.

Going on a vacation to KC, will hit some gas stations and maybe get lucky. Pretty odd. Evidently, around here where I live in Southeast Michigan, 2025 dimes are pretty easy to come by. There was at least three 2025 Philly minted coins in our drawer yesterday at work and I do have the Denver mint mark. Quote: ok... invitation is revoked! i really don't care what you "collect"... Not to trying to be rude at all, but to be honest, I'm just not all that interested personally. We are talking about almost a 40 minute drive out of my way when I can easily find coins around here or shipped from ebay. And I don't really feel comfortable with meeting someone from the net, especially someone who keeps coming off so persistent about it. Makes me feel iffy. No thanks. That said, I wish you well and hope you find someone to meetup with to enjoy or purchase your coins. But it's not for me.

Hijack away! That looks fantastic. The one thing I don't like about Roosevelt dimes however is coin roll hunting them isn't particularly fun honestly. I feel it's kind of a hassle and they are hard to see and distinguish in terms of dates.
