Many of the coins exceed mine and I've gone through 100's of rolls since 1999.

The one thing I don't like about Roosevelt dimes however is coin roll hunting them isn't particularly fun honestly. I feel it's kind of a hassle and they are hard to see and distinguish in terms of dates.

I had this experience as well. Dimes are so small to handle and examine. Nickels are way more fun to coin roll hunt, plus there is simply more stuff to find.

I have to agree. I am glad my core set was completed long before my eyes got too old to search them. I keep current with uncirculated mint sets.

My favorite coins to coin roll hunt are cents and nickels personally. Ironically, despite being a similar size, I don't have a problem with. Filling out a good portion of my Dansco album via coin roll hunting for Lincoln cents has been a joy.

That said, I don't really know if I want to go this route with Roosevelt dimes.

Thanks guys! Dimes are definitely a pain to read but I've noticed that they seem to hold up better than other coins

If you mean the clads there certainly are more older coins in high grade but so many are missing now haven fallen down cracks for 60 years. And worse it seems the VF's and XF's are even more likely to be scratched and ugly than the VG's.

I got reading glasses many years ago so their being hard to see is irrelevant. I just have to keep getting more powerful lenses as time goes by. I used to be able to easily see the' '68 overdate. Now I wear lens and use a glass.
