Picked this up for $166 which I thought was a good price given how it looks for the grade. The typical weak strike in the center is more pronounced in the obverse than in the reverse whereas the opposite is usually the case. Thoughts? Thanks!   The Overton 104 is easily identifiable because of the odd shape of the 8s in the date.  Below is a plate coin for the Overton-104 from the maibock online reference.  I was wondering what this is in the right obverse field. I think it is a planchet defect, but let me know what you think. You can also see on the right side of the image that star 12 appears to have been repunched. VF-25 possibly 30. Nice coin with usual strike weakness.

Can't comment on grade because I'm not well-versed in these CB coins. But I really like the anomaly in the date!

Seems like a good buy for the price. In addition to the date, I like the die artifacts/gouges. On the obverse by the R in liberty and on the reverse below the talons and connected to the stem. They don't look like cracks and they are present on the O-104 examples I looked at on PCGS. I really enjoy the imperfections associated with CBH coming out of the mint back then.

It's a perfectly fine coin for the price. As you said, it looks very original. I'm in the low VF camp.
