Good luck! Hopefully you'll find a bucket list DDO or transitional error in there.

That looks like a lot of fun. The cool jar/bottle is a plus! At our September coin club meeting, one of out members, who collects a lot of things besides coins, put up for auction a silver plated gravy boat. To keep it tied to numismatics, he put 50 circulated Wheat Ear Pennies in the gravy boat. I was the only one who bid, and won it for $15. The next day, I went out and bought a coin tube for the pennies. All in all, it was a lot of fun. Happy hunting!

I would have checked the coins in that jug 10 times by now... E&V How can you let those coins sit there knowing that a 1909-S VDB & 1955 DD sits inside of it?

Thank you, jbuck. CoinForMe, there's definitely a lot of potential. Update: I've found 13 Wheat Cents and a possible Struck Through error on a 2018 P LSC. I'll be posting the 2018 P LSC on here soon. I'll also post pictures of all of the Wheat Cents I've found, once I am done searching all of the change.

Quote: How can you let those coins sit there knowing that a 1909-S VDB & 1955 DD sits inside of it? Because it's Schrödinger's Cat in a jar. Once you measure the coins by inspection, you reduce the possibilities to concrete results, and the potential VDB might vanish. Or, as Spock once said: "You may find that having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true."

Brandmeister, Yep, it's a 50/50 chance, like a "Yes or No"...

E&V I'm hoping for the best for you, brother! Let's get a 1861 Liberty Head Gold Eagle Proof out of that jar!

Thank you, CoinForMe! CoinForMe, check out the U.S. Modern Variety and Error forum. I found a nice Struck Through error on a 2018 P LSC. That was from that jar of change I got from my neighbor. I'll be searching through the change more later.

no pictures here yet? I think that since you started this topic here, you should also post your finds here as well (even if you also post them in the Error forum for evaluation). Was that 2018 cent is the other area your buggy struck through?
