What kind of error would this be? I think this is common; however only a dot of the L in Liberty shows and there's a ghost image of the rest of the L on the rim. I assume this IS considered a mint error. Any added value for collectors?
Looks like that part of the rim has been flattened pushing it over the L. There is no way for that to happen when the coin was struck, it is damage, not an error.
