This could be the ugliest penny I've ever seen; however I just wanted to know if you think the mint mark is a D. I do, but just would like someone's opinion.

The second photo sure looks like a D.
The only other mintmark was a S.

At first I would have wrote it off as just damage moved off of the rim, you can see plenty, but the second pic makes you go hmmm. At the end of the day, a damaged coin. In my opinion, send it back into the wild for someone else to find.
