Liberty nickel S or D?

I normal D doesnt point down in the corner it points to the side, I cant tell what this is it almost looks like an S.

I think we are going to need a picture that shoots down on top of the coin instead of slanted.

Looks more like an "S" to me.

I beleive that is an S.

I say S. I can see the curl coming iut from under the blob.

I have a 1912-B Liberty nickel too!

If I had to guess, I'd guess an S. An S is what I guess, I guess.

Have you tried acetone to see if it comes off? could be a blob of silver glued on to make it appear as if a MM was there. Acetone won't hurt the coin, soak it and pick it with a wooden toothpick, If it's really on there, I'd go "S" MM.
