the ship coin on the bottom row caught my eye, I have no idea what it is or even what most of the others are. so any info on any of these would be nice.

 There were 5 and 10 escudos with same design but judging by the size compared to coins around it's the one above.

 Congratulations 500     From the info above you can guess it's probably 5 escudos 1934, tho I can't really see the date And from eBay search on ended coins the last one to sell in nicer condition was $12 And a worse condition one sold for $5.44 so you are in front with the boat coin :)

i dont think I will ever part with that one, I keep seeing it inside some sort of holder attached to a nice gold chain. I think I was a pirate in a previous life, well thats what a fb application told me once pmsl.

A few no-one's commented on yet:
Row 1 Number 3: British sixpence
R1#4: French, 1920s.
R2#2: South Africa penny
R3#1: Cuba
R4#1: French
R4#3: either India or Ceylon, WWII period.
The others are all too indistinct or too ambiguous without the other side.
And yes, $26 is a bit too pricey in my opinion.

That Portuguese 2½ Escudos pays for the whole lot. I believe it could be worth over $50.

There are also a 1943 S Mercury dime, a nice 1912 Ceylon one cent, and a closer pic of the 1902 British penny could help identify high tide or low tide. Really good buy overall, well done.
