missing 1 on 1922 peace dollar?

Hi just noticed that the 1 is barely visible, is that due to wear or a error? thx( coin is behind a plastic sleeve)

appears to be wear at the rim below her chin. I can only guess it was wear from your picture.

The digit one (1) is missing due to a grease filled die. While not overly rare, it is uncommon enough that you should hold on to it.

Looks like grease on the die, kinda unusual on a dollar. Notice IN also.
