I picked this 1853 Liberty Seated Dollar up at the local coin show today. What grade would you assign? Do you think it would slab? Comments welcome!

I would call it VF 20 to 25 with some wipe. Nothing jumps out to say it is not genuine but I would weigh it just to make sure.

VF-20 details with some old cleaning issues...NO SOUP FOR YOU!

VF-20 and maybe but not likely in my opinion. Looks like it was wiped a very long time ago. Has great eye appeal though.

VF-20. I believe it would slab. Nice, rare coin!

I'll go at the bottom with F-12 or even lower. It looks like this has a lot more wear than the detail would indicate.

Thanks for all the comments and opinions. I'm happy with this coin and might try to have it slabbed.
I have an 1860-O in PCGS/CAC VF25 that doesn't look as strong as this piece.

Interesting, I guess I just figured they retain a lot of feather detail down into VG because of the striking.

Also I didn't notice near the date, but it's not that bad.

Are those scratches at 5 o'clock on the obverse?

I might be optimistic on the 1853 but it's got a shot at 20. F15 for sure. And yes, the spot around obverse 5:00 has some hairlines. They show up more in the images than in-hand but are there for sure. Here's a pic of the area around the date on the 1853 and a shot of the 1860-O.
