Hey all,
So I've always been interested in collecting coins / bullion. Im going to off my knife collection to do what I think is right. I recently re-sparked my interest at a gun show where I bought some antique coinage, Little value. Then, I upgraded to buy only bullion rounds and bars. I think as an interest, hobby, investment.. I cant go wrong. I cant stop thinking about it now. I always thought that old style or antique pocket knives was interesting, but darn....

try and keep a few items from the knife collection that are special to you. Maybe one from a family member, or won in a contest, or a unique design.

Fuzz,
Half of the ones I have, are impulse buys. Out of a total of about 110, there are about 20 that I think are non-replaceable. I just realized that I only actually use like 2 of them, and they are not rare. (modern Cases, Buck, Old timers) On the other hand, since I cant save money, and I love the idea of collecting as my main hobby, it should atleast be worth something, Most likely atleast double in value (IMO). So this is what I've been wanting to do, so Im gonna do it.
Any one share similar thoughts?

I want to buy silver bars. Most would be one ounce, as that is most affordable. I would say that 1/5 would be one 5 ounce. I would like to buy coin bullion as well. in the end, it would be half coins, half bars.

I like your theory...if you are going to blow money on something fun, make sure it gives a decent ROI. I think you are on the right track with bullion. Educate, educate, and educate...then buy, Buy, BUY!

Reno, besides silver bars you might want to branch out and start accumulating older 90% silver coins like Mercury dimes, Standing Liberty quarters, and Walking Liberty halves. Sometimes you can pick these up at or a little below melt value.
