Golden Liberty Coin, possible mistake/misprint

I dont think this is a big issue or a "sweet find" but it has my curiosity anyway. I have a "gold" Liberty Im assuming Sacajawea dollar. It is missing the date on the heads side but does have "In God We Trust." The back looks to be complete with a bundle of arrows wrapped in a band, USA up top and "Great Law Of Peace" at the bottom with "Haudenosaunee" immediately above. Ill post a pic tomorrow if anyone thinks this is worth anything more than the $1 it says it is.

I have another Liberty Saca coin that appears to be complete but has an eagle on the back and dated 2000. Im assuming these two are from different pressings and the one isnt a complete mess up. Neither have the word edging as they are both flat edged.

Thanks for any input!

Look closely on the edge.

Since 2009, the date has been placed on the edge of the Sacajawea (also called Native American) Dollar.

The newer Native American and President dollars have the date on the edge of the coin.

In most of the pics I've seen with the date on the side, it was fairly visible. This did have the date and saying on the side, guess it was just wore down.

yeah they moved the date to the edge like the Presidential Dollars in 2009 so none after 2008 should have a date on the Obverse

I see so few baby dollars in circulation, but some that I have found were atrocious, and yes, the edge lettering looked weak compared to a fresher specimen.

I use to pick them up at the bank and use them as tips when eating out. The waitress' 9 times out of 10 said they were going to keep them. If you spend them, they either get saved or end up going back to the bank, you never get one back in change.

Even on nice unc's, seems that the edge lettering always looks a bit weak.

I like the Sacs and this year I was really impressed with the Pres for once. BUT these coins do NOT circulate well. They tarnish after a single handling. Do this...

Roll a new example around in your hand for about 30 seconds and then set it aside for a month or so. You will come back to brown nasty looking coin. The finish just does not hold up. Not sure what they could do to improve that though.
