I anyone else out there still trying to put together a set. I'm trying to keep current on these coins, but since the only place to really get them from is from the mint I'm fallying behind. I'm starting to feel that this is a lost cause for me.

Never got into them myself. If I'm not mistaken they only come in gold versions, where for that money Id rather get a platium ASE or the buffalo personally. I probably would have made a set though if they had a silver version

I tried back in 2007 but got priced out by the rising cost of gold. I now only have the Jefferson left.

They got expensive in a hurry after the '07 releases. Only managed to buy 4 proofs: Jefferson, Madiison, Monroe and Adams. Nice looking coins, would've been easier on the wallet had they been 1/2 oz. silver or bimetallic coins. Now too late to buy the rest, most seem to be slabbed.

If you want a coin then yes but they also make each design as a medal also (or at least they used to when this series first started)

I have thought about starting to do. I will have to wait until my rental income starts coming in though. I sold 90% of my collection to buy investment properties.
