Maybe its the plastic. but it looks cleaned. Lots of tiny scratches. What does it look like out of the plastic?

tfred could be right Looks to be rotated approx. 29 degrees to 32 degrees.
The question is more important than the answer

Here is a very similar 1940 that just sold for $3.33 on eBay. 261060295441. Not as nice but I am not sure the uptick from VG to your grade is that important to a rotation collector. I think it would have to be MS to really make a big difference.

I also noticed... The denticles are Like Sharp tip like a knife " From Neck to The *R* in GEORGIVS "
Does this mean anything?

I would say it was cleaned/polished at one point. There are minor hairline scratches on both the obv and rev.
George is also missing alot of hair details ( probably from the cleaning..but could be just from circulating )
IMO...definately not AU ( but it is a nice addition to any album being built from circulation coins )

Thanks Imo, And yes it was Polished Slightly before Pictures with a Swab and warm water.
When I clean some coins, I use a Swab, warm water, Gently clean in circular motion for 5 seconds, then I use other end of swab to Gently dry the coins. I NEVER use pressure when cleaning coins.
I hope im doing it right lol.. it got pretty Shiny ;) lol

Quote: I hope im doing it right lol.. it got pretty Shiny ;) lol you are doing a fine job if your intention is to have bright shiney coins in your collection. Alot of collectors prefer not to clean/polish their coins as they want to keep them "as natural as possible". Some collectors will even say a coin has lost some value when you clean it as any history it has gained was wiped away. ( If your coin is suffering from that green stuff that builds up over time then clean clean clean I say! If the dirt/residue is doing more damage than a slight clean would do..then clean it! ) Personally I don't clean any of my coins in fear of adding more scratches or even devaluing the coin. To each, his own. As I always say. ( whatever floats your boat )

Quote: How Much would This coin be worth? I'm Looking to sell it. My 2012 charlton coin guide lists this dime at approx $1.60 buying price in VG condition.. I would say yours is around $2.50 - $3 ( any coin dealer will only offer you the melt value for this )

Quote: Do you know where I can find 2x2 Cardboard holders for A good price? Most local coin stores should sell them. I get my 2x2s from GateWest Coin and Stamp in Winnipeg, MB. Costs me $3 for a pack of 100.
