I bought this coin a month ago on ebay, ICCS has it labeled as MS-65 NSF; Red. I was about to post it for sale on this forum actually, since I would like to use that money to pay for other coins, but while taking pictures and looking at it through the loupe, I noticed what appears to be the hanging 3 variety. Is this a hanging 3? And if so, how can ICCS not have noticed such an obvious variety.
i know the value of the coin, the MS-65 NSF; Red Hanging 3 is ~$100...i got this one for half the trends of a regular NSF MS-65 (not hanging 3). I was asking how much ICCS charges to comment on varieties and grade them
The trends price might be $100...I am not sure off hand....but retail is quite a bit less. They are not that hard to find. It looks like yours might have some spotting near the hanger, which is a bit distracting. I would guess that retail (i.e., ebay) on this would be around $35 to $45.
Nice coin. Looking closer at your bottom picture. Is your coin a double hanging 3 or am I just seeing what is not there? A little hard to tell from the picture...I hate taking pics through the plastic.
