While working at our hospital gift shop yesterday I found three Washington D.C. quarters, and two Guam quarters.

well I received a 1964 SIlver quarter when I was watching this chick unload her purse filled with quarters I was watching it cautiuosly and saw the silver rim, the only thing that was silver in her 54 dollar unload...but I asked her if she would let me take it from her and she gave it to me and asked why, I said I collected coins and I needed the date(i know I lied but still)she laughed and said wat a foolish hobby ... I said thats what you think...id say it was one of my most memorable moments so far in this hobby

I picked up 4 pretty good Buffalo nickels Saturday night at our coin club. I also got a good wheatie in change this week. Right now I am pretty random with my collecting, must narrow my focus. |

Gift shop finds were scarce this time. Kept one Guam Quarter. Nothing else too exciting.

I got a 1964 Rosie and a 1920 Buffalo from rolls today, and a Wheatie that was so worn that I could only see 19 in the date.

back in the year 2000, I spent some timein the States, mostly in Massachusetts and New York. Back there, a hot-dog guy gave me a 1970's half-dollar coin. I wasn't much into coins back then, I was suprised to see a half-dollar, but I probably spent it somewhere :S.. I wish I kept it though.
I found a dozen wheaties, besides the half-dollar I found. Vaugely remembering, I think it is a 1971 or 1972 half-dollar.. I am sure it is not too intresting for US coin colelctors, but it was, for me, back then.

Seven BU 2009-D Native American dollars and a high-AU 1980-D SBAfrom Denver Light Rail ticket dispenser change today. A nice 'change' from the XF 1979 SBA's and tarnished year-2000 Sac's that Light Rail riders commonly receive as change... More common-date wheaties and LP1-2 Cents have shown up in my change in the last few weeks, as well. Edited by DNA

Back in the year 2005, I found this - what appears to be a 1999 100,000 Lira Turkey - coin as change from a supermarket. Weird thing is, it has both the designs of a 2002 250,000 lira and 1999 100,000 lira. Both of those coins were valid back then, but the bigger 1999 type 100,000 liras were not minted in the similar way (they were replaced by smaller 100,000liras). Now, look at the pictures, the coin has the alloy and size of a 2002 250,000 lira, as well as the edge lettering of a 2002 250,000 lira. The thing is, it has both in reverse and obverse, designs of 1999 100,000lira. The thing is, it must be difficult for it to get mixed in teh mint, since at 1999, no 250,000 lira coins were ever produced. At 2002, no 1999 style big 100,000 lira coins have been produced, so the base metal of teh coin must travel at time to get mixed.. please see the pictures, anyone has anything to say? :)    I fixed the links. I found 518.00 and change today...after I cashed in my roll hunting rejects
In the change part I got a Porto Rico quarter. and had a 2001p dime rejected.

I've been doing a lot of searching in Lincoln Cent rolls lately, And I found about three or five wheat cents (though all of them post-1950) I also managed to find an Australian coin from a coinstar machine at a local Wal-mart, although it was worn with verdigris, so it was near worthless. still was nice to find something like that though, hehe. |

Well I found a bunch of MS grade LMC 1990-97 and some 20 or so S-mints. Some of them are reds  and the following wheat's also.(1930,1937-s,1941,1944-s,1945-s,1951-d,1955-d)I still have another unsearched jar to go.  Here is a nice rainbow 73-S I found  Edited by coindexter
