I found a Chinese Yuan in the reject tray of the change counter at my bank. Stock photo here, but mine is also a 2011 so looks the same.

Saw this lying on the till at a check out register and asked what it was, lady said she didn't know, I couldn't see it very well but offered a dime for it as it "appears to be the size of a dime" she handed it over to me in exchange for a dime.

Kinda worn and been around, but still an unexpected find and worth a little more than the ten cents I paid for it:

Opened a roll of dimes at work the other day and found two silver dimes. TWO! IN ONE ROLL!

Other recent finds: still finishing out those ATB sets for other forum members, a quarter from Bermuda, Netherlands 2-cent euro, English 20 pence, 20 groszy from Poland, a couple of what I think might be copper-plating error coins, that's about all that's remarkable.

Sorry for the double-post, but . . . another silver dime at work. Yes, that fast. If I had the money I would've gone "sorry, Leilani, you're going to have to run on whatever dimes are in the coin changer for a couple of hours--I'll bring back the residue!" and snatched everything in the safe. Alas, I'll have to trust no more turn up today (it's my day off).

Also, in a roll of those tasty hand-wrapped nickels, a Fijian five-cent piece. Queen Elizabeth is on those coins as well! Is the chick on half the world's currency, or something?

Yesterday in a few dime rolls, I found a 5 pence, and a cayman islands coin with a shrimp on it. The ones pictured are internet photos, but mine are the same.

I agree.....that means you've found 100 dollars in walkers, I'm assuming, from one box? I don't think anyone has ever found 200 coins from a single box....ever.

So far my nickel roll searches seem to be the place to get foreign coins, just this week I gathered 3 - British 5 pence coins and the quarter roll search brought out a British 10 pence. No pics for those but did grab some Cook Island coinage a Bermuda razorback and the Thai 1 Baht coin pic.

Got my first counterstamped Lincoln today!! I'll post pictures later, but in the meantime--it's a lovely, mostly-untoned 1982, counterstamped with three numbers (one is a five, but I don't remember which and the coin isn't in front of me). It looks like it's one of the copper 82s, too--there are no signs of silver colouring around the stamp!

I got not one, but two 2012 dimes in change the other day.

The "new" dimes seem to be a somewhat consistent summer find. These were a few weeks ahead of the 2011 (24 August 2011), but a couple of weeks behind the 2010 (14 July 2010).
