So I got a nice surprise in my change getting coffee today, I was given a 1943s Mercury dime. Nothing huge, but the first of something like that I've gotten in change.

Getting a good one is one thing......but when it actually fits into a missing hole in the album......priceless !..

Getting something like that in change is sweet. I only ever found one in rolls. The cashier must of thought it was foreign. Any Mercury dime has a warm welcoming in my book.

About two years ago I cracked a roll of circulated small size dollars from my local bank and got 2 1979 P SBAs that were wide rim.

Today I got a 1977D Lincoln Cent in my change that had the Masonic compass counterstruck into the obv. I find it rather interesting that a modern, well-known organization counterstruck a coin with its logo.

It would be an "interesting find" if I could find just one New Mexico quarter. None in change so far, and my bank doesn't have any either.

Not sure.
Same thing happened with the Oklahoma Quarter. None for quite a while, and now they are very numerous.
I'll just have to be patient I guess.

Today I found a 1942P silver wartime nickel on the sidewalk. It is amazing how much silver is still out there despite the fact that silver is so high.
