I came across the most unusual dime today.

The Reverse has a person teeing off with the title "Open championship of Canada" 1904-2004, Ominium Du Canada

The Observe is a standard Mature Queen effigy with a small "P".

It seems like a standard RCM commerative, but cannot find it my Haxby & willey

Does anybody know the history of this coin and the mintage figure ?

Thanks for the added details.

I found this dime in a bank roll.
I guess someone thought it was a regular dime.

I have one of those. I think it sold for around $10.00 and came with device that someone told me was used to repair divots. I picked it up just because it was different

They were minted for the Canadian Open Golf Championship for the 2004 tourney at Glen Abbey in Oakville. They came in a hinged hard case like mint dollars and, like the above post, I think came enclosed in a divot repair tool. They didn't sell well in 2004 and in 2005 were offered well marked down at post office outlets.
