Yo! I got a coin that I think might be from the Ottoman Empire. I checked this one up in a coin store, but I don't think he was too correct (=His oppinion wasn't the same as mine, lol). So now I'm wondering if someone here could help me out.
This is how it looks like:

It is Ottoman Turkey, Abdul Hamid II's two kurus (I believe; the diameter should be about 13 mm). The reignal year is above the "squiggly" underneath the tougra (the left image), I can't really see it on the picture. Add that to 1875 to get the date of the coin - Abdul Hamid ascended in AH 1293 / AD 1876.

The diameter is 17-20 mm, and it's dated 1293, liek you said. The only numbers I can see on the left image is 34, if that's what you're asking?
I can't read the arabic script, just the numbers, so I'm afraid I can't make any suggestions on the small texts.

Yes, exactly, the diameter is right (I don't know with what I was measuring last night). So it is Ottoman Turkey 2 kurus 1908/9 (sultan's ascension AH 1293, reignal year 34). Now, if yours is an authentic piece, you've got yourself a gem for unlike the previous years which are valued at just a few bucks this (last year of Abdul Hamid II) is worth quite a bit more. My (very old) Krause says it's $140 in VF and $200 in XF.

Alright! Thanks for the info!
I'm still not sure about the year though. When I (tried to) dated it, I came out with the result of 1870's, the guy in the coin store said 1890's, and now you tell me 1908/9? Hehe, this is really confusing for me, but I guess that it's somehwere between 1870-1909 then?

Ah, now I know how you are conting the year! Where reading your posts and finally I got it, lol. It's similar with the Japanese coins you got the year of the emperor and add which year of reign it's done (just telling myself!) Sorry for being slow!
Thanks guys!
