Yeah, that might be the way to go.

Ask them if you can return that coin, and pay the difference on a slabbed one.

Just went down to my local coin store to see what they had.

Ended up getting 2 1/10 oz gold eagles for $169 a piece, and a 1/4 oz Gold eagle proof for 428$. Pretty good deals I think!

I picked these up from the P.O. Yesterday, I can't stop fondling them. They are all unique and if I don't put them away soon I'm sure they will all have different names by the end of the week.lol

I never realised quite how scratched my cufflinks had become till I got a USB microscope. Still I like these I bought them for melt price 12 years ago.

Beautiful coin, I love the way the flan is concave on both sides with the design in high relief yet still protected by the rims... it really is a nice design.
