I was born in Canada, but have lived most of my life in Australia. A few years ago, an unfolding constitutional crisis in Australia's parliament made me realise that "being born in Canada" meant that I was, technically, still a Canadian citizen. Up until then, I'd always been told that no, I was not really a Canadian.

Canada has also recently passed a law that any Canadian dual-citizen wishing to enter Canada, must do so on a Canadian passport. My Australian passport wouldn't work (though as I was born in London, Ontario, they'd probably have had to be super-observant to pick up on this fact, since my Australian passport simply says "Born in: London", without naming the country).

So, given that I'd like to visit Canada some day, and not really wanting to be smuggling myself into Canada on an incorrect passport, I applied for a Canadian passport. It arrived in the mail yesterday.

Now I just have to wait for this whole COVID thing to blow over, so I can actually use it.

Two passports, as I'm a dual citizen. I've had the Australian one since I first went overseas in my adult life, back in 2014.

Excellent! Interesting to note that the RCNA's current president is still stuck at his second home in Australia due to the COVID-19 situation. Welcome to our little club.
