The fact that I have so many topics created in this section is...distasteful for me, when so many of them are about bad things.
I'm sorry for writing so many excessive topics here.
I just...I probably need professional help for this but I thought I could...receive some advice.
My best friend, someone that has helped me during these times of loneliness, and times of dread or difficulty, someone that I talked to for hours and hours every day, someone that brightened my world, someone that made me want to get up in the morning has...passed away.
My best friend died 15 minutes ago. I don't know how, I have no details, that is all I know. She was 16.
They were my only close friend, and now, I don't know what to do.
You see me post on the Family Community section more than the normal person because I don't have very many people to go to. I know that most of you have decades of experience, so I thought I could just...receive some advice.

Really sorry to hear this, SilverCents. Although we've never spoken on a personal level before, I have added an email to my account and you're free to contact me should you wish to talk - nobody should feel like they have to go through this alone. Any time - contact me and I'll do my best to help.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends passing. No need to apologize for reaching out and I'm glad you feel comfortable enough with the forum to do so. She seems like she was a special & caring person. There are so many caring people here but you seem to intuitively know you need/want to talk to someone in person. Find someone or a group as soon as you can. The relief will do you good and let you celebrate all the good your friend did for you. We need you around for your perspective and life experience as well. We all have a lot to contribute to each other, no matter how "old" we are.
I sincerely hope you reach out to someone or a support group. I found it so beneficial when my son was born at 2 lbs 1-1/2oz to talk to a group of parents going through the same experience. The group setting enabled each person to realize answers to our many questions about what we were going through. Sometimes I didn't even know I had a question until I listened to someone else relate what they had been through.
My thoughts are with you as well. ps. 31 years ago seems like yesterday but he is a strong, healthy and caring individual today.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

So sorry to hear that. Please keep us informed. You have CCF friends to talk to,if nothing else. If you are religious, talk to someone from your church. John1

I would reach out to someone to help talk through your feelings on this. In addition to the forum, I don't know if you have a parent or grandparent, a religious contact, ask your doctor to refer you to someone or even just Google "mental health help near me" that could help.

Thank you all so much for your support, advice, and sharing your own experiences to help me.
I might try to eventually return to the coin hobby, but for now I can't push myself to.
I've still gained very little information. The only other thing I know was that it was a car crash.
Thank you all very much again, it truly means so much to me.
