I would like to thank all our veterans (living and deceased) for their service. My dad was a WW-II veteran, as were my uncles. I tried entering the service, but was denied for medical reasons. I'm a member of the Sons of AMVETS. Every year our squadron places flags in four local cemeteries on all the veterans graves before Memorial Day, and take them down after Veteran's Day. We also raise money to buy craft kits for vets in nursing homes, and have cookouts at the VA Home in the summer. We should all be thankful for our veterans, and the sacrifices they've made.

10% of all my ebay sales go to a veteran's foundation.

Thank you to all of our men and women in the armed forces both at home and abroad.

While it's always a good day to thank a veteran, a World War II veteran once told me that Memorial day was not his day; it is a day for all, regardless of service, to remember those who gave their life for our country.

I am new to this site and just now saw this topic, had I seen it earlier I would have thanked you earlier. Yes Memorial Day is for remembering those that gave their lives in defense of our nation. Unfortunately they would surely be saddened to see what is going on the last few days in our great country.

Thank you again for remembering those that "Gave All".
